Binary Firing System III Trigger Information
The Binary Firing System III Trigger is a selectable fire-control component manufactured by Franklin Armory for compatible AR-pattern firearms. The BFSIII AR-C1 configuration uses a curved trigger profile and a three-position safety-selector system.

Three Selector Positions
The BFSIII system provides three selectable settings. The first is safe, the second supports conventional semiautomatic operation, and the third is the manufacturer’s Binary mode.
In Binary mode, the firearm discharges one round when the trigger is pulled and another when it is released. This operating characteristic differs significantly from a conventional semiautomatic trigger and requires manufacturer-approved training and strict attention to the firearm’s condition and selector position.
Platform Compatibility
The Binary Firing System III Trigger is designed for compatible AR-pattern platforms. Compatibility should not be assumed for every AR-15, AR-10, PCC, rimfire conversion, nonstandard bolt-carrier group, lower receiver, or safety-selector arrangement.
Franklin Armory states that firearm tolerances can vary and that not every firearm is suitable for its BFSIII triggers. A qualified gunsmith or Franklin Armory’s authorized service should evaluate compatibility and perform any necessary work.

Binary-trigger legality varies significantly between jurisdictions. Federal classification does not override state or local restrictions. Franklin Armory currently restricts civilian sales or service in numerous states and the District of Columbia.
